Kees Hoving benoemd tot Chief Country Officer van Deutsche Bank in Nederland

Deutsche Bank heeft Kees Hoving met ingang van 1 april 2016 benoemd tot Chief Country Officer in Nederland en tot General Manager van Deutsche Bank AG, Amsterdam Branch, onder voorbehoud van goedkeuring door de toezichthouders. Hoving volgt Maarten van Berckel op, die deze functie de afgelopen zes jaar bekleedde. Van Berckel besloot de bank te verlaten om op zoek te gaan naar nieuwe uitdagingen in zijn leven.

Hoving rapporteert aan Ashok Aram, CEO van Deutsche Bank voor Europa (met uitzondering van Duitsland en het Verenigd Koninkrijk), het Midden-Oosten en Afrika.

Ashok Aram: "Nederland speelt een zeer belangrijke rol in de wereldwijde landendekking van Deutsche Bank, met substantiële activiteiten op het gebied van Corporate & Investment Banking en Global Markets en groeiende Asset en Wealth businesses. Veel vooraanstaande Nederlandse financiële instellingen en bedrijven en hun dochterondernemingen maken gebruik van onze diensten. We beogen om dit belangrijke onderdeel verder uit te bouwen."

Hoving wordt verantwoordelijk voor de Nederlandse activiteiten van Deutsche Bank Group in alle divisies en voor de implementatie en ontwikkeling van de strategie van de bank in Nederland.

In zijn vorige functie was Hoving Head of Global Transaction Banking voor Europa, het Midden-Oosten en Afrika (met uitzondering van Duitsland) bij Deutsche Bank. Daarvoor was hij Chairman of the Management Board van Deutsche Bank Nederland N.V., Head of GTB voor Nederland en Head of Trade Finance and Cash Management Corporates in Duitsland. Voordat Hoving in maart 2010 in dienst trad bij Deutsche Bank was hij Head of GTS in Nederland en Head of Global Network Banking bij de Royal Bank of Scotland, waarvan ook de overgenomen netwerkactiviteiten van ABN AMRO deel uitmaakten. Van 2004 tot 2008 bekleedde Hoving de functie Head of Benelux Corporate Finance bij de Royal Bank of Scotland. Voorafgaand aan die functie werkte hij bij ING, JP Morgan en Bank of America in Corporate Finance, waarbij hij tevens verantwoordelijk was voor grote Nederlandse klanten.

‎Kees Hoving appointed Chief Country Officer for Deutsche Bank in the Netherlands

Deutsche Bank appointed Kees Hoving as Chief Country Officer in the Netherlands, effective 1 April 2016, and General Manager of Deutsche Bank AG, Amsterdam Branch, subject to regulatory approvals. Hoving succeeds Maarten van Berckel, who has filled this position for the past six years and decided to retire from the Bank and pursue new challenges in his life. 

Hoving will report to Ashok Aram, Deutsche Bank CEO for Europe (excluding Germany and the United Kingdom), Middle East and Africa.

Hoving will be responsible for the management of Deutsche Bank Group’s business in the Netherlands across all divisions and leading the execution and development of the Bank’s strategy in the country.

Hoving was previously Head of the Bank's Global Transaction Banking for Europe (excluding Germany), Middle East and Africa. Before that he was Chairman of the Management Board of Deutsche Bank Nederland N.V, Head of GTB for the Netherlands and Head of Trade Finance and Cash Management Corporates in Germany. Before joining Deutsche Bank in March 2010, Hoving was Head of GTS the Netherlands and Head of Global Network Banking at the Royal Bank of Scotland including the integrated acquired ABN AMRO network activities. From 2004 to 2008 Hoving was Head of Benelux Corporate Finance at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Before that he worked at ING, JP Morgan and Bank of America in Corporate Finance, which included covering large Dutch clients.
