Deutsche Bank recognized by New York City for volunteerism
Deutsche Bank was recognized again by the City of New York as one of its most civically engaged businesses.
New York City has honored Deutsche Bank for its outstanding volunteer service. This year's Mayoral Service Recognition Program included the bank as one of 16 private sector businesses that engaged a high proportion of its NYC employees in volunteerism.
The program, held annually in April during National Volunteer Month, is a citywide celebration that underscores the power of service to unite individuals and build a city where all New Yorkers can succeed. Individuals and companies engaged as volunteers, and the nonprofits they serve, were invited to a recognition ceremony held at Gracie Mansion.
In a press release, NYC Chief Service Officer Laura Rog said, "Volunteering and service are the cornerstones of thriving and healthy communities. When we act in service to others, we are connected to a movement bigger than ourselves and united by love for our communities."
Janet Wong from CSR Americas noted the significance of this year's recognition. "At a time when numerous communities are facing new, unprecedented challenges, the many ways that our employees volunteer - above and beyond their daily work- to help improve short- and long-term quality of life for fellow New Yorkers really does make a difference."
This was the eighth time that Deutsche Bank has received this honor. In order to be recognized for 2022 activity, companies must have engaged 30% or more of its employees in volunteerism.
