National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) New York City commends the bank for “extraordinary commitment to supporting youth mental health programs.”
Deutsche Bank received the 2023 Corporate Leadership Award for its long-standing support of mental health programs and resources. The award was given by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) New York City, a leading mental health nonprofit organization whose mission is to help families and individuals affected by mental illness build better lives through education, support, and advocacy.
NAMI NYC specifically commended the bank for its “extraordinary commitment to supporting youth mental health programs across our communities.” This commitment has been a long-standing one through both internal and external bank channels including:
- Launching the global #Not Alone CSR campaign through the Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation, raising awareness and funds for youth mental health.
- Playing a leading role as a founding member of the Wall Street Mental Health Collaborative, unifying major financial institutions to collectively address mental health challenges in the workplace.
- Expanding our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with counseling services available around the clock.
- Training colleagues to be Mental Health First Aiders.
- Continuing to demonstrate outstanding leadership through Mental Health Awareness Month and its Employee Resource Group, dbEnable US, whose mission is to reduce the stigma around visible and invisible disabilities especially those concerning mental health by fostering open and honest conversations across the organization.
Rachel Duncan, Co-Chair of dbEnable US, said, “I am honored to accept this award on behalf of Deutsche Bank.
