Data protection information
Data protection information under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and EU General Data Protection Regulation
The European General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) will take effect on 25 May 2018.
While the GDPR is a European Union (“EU”) regulation, it is also of relevance for DBS for a number of reasons. In particular, the GDPR has extraterritorial effects in certain conditions for companies, such as DBS, which are based outside of the EU/the European Economic Area (“EEA”), but which process personal data of data subjects domiciled in the EU/EEA. Also, the Swiss legislation on data protection is currently subject to a revision which is strongly influenced by the new EU rules on data protection.
Please find further information in DBS’ Data protection information under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and the GDPR (the “Privacy Notice”) which provides an overview of how your personal data is processed by DBS.
