Rising Food Prices in Japan, Deutsche Bank Helps Single Mothers and Families in Need
There appears to be no end in sight to price hikes affecting food products in Japan, and it seems to be having a significant impact on the finances of low-income families, especially single-parent with low incomes and raising children who are in Mother and Child Life Support Facilities.
Members of the Japan Executive Committee stood for donate foods, hoping their small contribution for mothers give a room for them to purchase Christmas gifts for their children.
The members gathered one evening in December to fill bags with 15 food items such as mayonnaise, ketchup, salad oil, flour, etc., those foods significantly affected by recent price increases and all 67 bags were made. The bags were sent to each facility that day so that single mothers could have them before Christmas.
One mother sent us a thank you letter, " It was very helpful to receive food items that had gone up in price. And everything was necessary for daily use."
