Terms of Service – Electronic Communications Platform

You may communicate with us and our Deutsche Bank representatives using our approved electronic communication platforms such as Email, Skype, Teams, Symphony and Bloomberg (“Electronic Communications Platform”). When using such Electronic Communications Platforms, the following terms shall apply: 

Confidentiality

Communication via an Electronic Communications Platform may contain confidential or privileged information. Any unauthorized copying, disclosure, or distribution of the material in this communication is strictly forbidden. If you are not the intended recipient of a message, please notify the sender immediately and delete the respective messages.

Surveillance and Retention

Please note that, in order to monitor compliance with legal and regulatory obligations and our policies, procedures and corporate compliance programs, we reserve the right to review and record the content of any messages exchanged with our staff, to the extent permitted by applicable laws and regulations. This may include personal information and client information. We retain copies of all electronic messages, including those exchanged using an Electronic Communications Platform, to comply with and to the extent allowed under, applicable financial and related regulation.

Data Privacy

In communicating with us, we may receive personal information about you or third parties (“Personal Information”). We may use your Personal Information in connection with our provision of banking and other financial services and products to you, acting in our legitimate interest, or complying with regulatory or other legal obligations. We will ensure that neither your identity nor messages will be visible to third parties outside of Deutsche Bank. We will retain Personal Information during our banking relationship and to the extent permitted under applicable privacy regulations. To the extent you receive Personal Information using an Electronic Communications Platform to communicate with us (other otherwise), you should not disclose such Personal Information unless the affected data subjects have consented to such disclosure. Internet Security and Message Delay

We make no representation or warranty that electronic messages will be confidential while transmitted through the internet. Electronic messages may be intercepted or accessed by unauthorised or unintended parties, may not arrive at the intended destination, or may not arrive in the form transmitted. Electronic message communication cannot be guaranteed to be timely, secure or error free. Information provided speaks only as of its date. We have not undertaken and will not undertake, any duty to update the information or otherwise advise you of changes.

Social Messaging Platform

To the extent you are accessing an Electronic Communications Platform via SMS, WeChat or WhatsApp, or a functionally similar social messaging platform (“Social Messaging Platform”), your use of the Social Messaging Platform is governed by the privacy policy and terms and conditions of the Social Messaging Platform. We have no influence on or control over the type and extent of data that the Social Messaging Platform collects while you use their service to communicate with us.

Interpretation

For the avoidance of doubt, your relationship with Deutsche Bank is governed by the terms and conditions, including any privacy consents, as applicable, signed between you and us at the outset of the client relationship, as amended over time.
