First green bond for UK government

We helped the UK government launch its first sovereign green bond. The £10bn transaction established green gilts as a sustainable source of finance for the UK’s most urgent environmental priorities. To date, the Green Financing Programme has raised more than £50bn.

Sustainable finance

We arranged a sustainability-linked corporate revolving credit facility that links UPP’s cost of funding to annual targets related to carbon reduction, water consumption and meeting the UK’s Biodiversity Net Gain regulation requirements.
