In 1993, Deutsche Bank AG was one of the first international banking groups to establish a representative office in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Since 2009, JSC "Deutsche Bank DBU" (Deutsche Bank Ukraine) operates as corporate bank in Ukraine with 100% foreign investments and offers a full range of corporate banking services to its clients (local corporates and subsidiaries of foreign companies).

In November 2020, EUROMONEY Cash Management Survey 2020 recognised Deutsche Bank Ukraine as No. 1 Cash Management bank in Ukraine in the Best in Service category.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine: update on the operations of Deutsche Bank Ukraine and other important developments

First and foremost, our thoughts are with the people in Ukraine, with our colleagues and clients. As Deutsche Bank’s CEO Christian Sewing said in his capacity as President of the Association of German Banks, “Acts of aggression that violate international law and the invasion of another country must not go unpunished in the 21st century. Everyone has the right to live in freedom and democracy.”

Deutsche Bank supports the sanctions imposed as a reaction to Russia’s invasion and will consistently implement these measures.

The solidarity we are experiencing here in Ukraine and around the world gives us all hope. As an international institution, Deutsche Bank has donated one million euros to the International Committee of the Red Cross to support relief efforts in Ukraine. In addition, our regional Corporate Social Responsibility teams and Deutsche Bank's foundations have launched a relief campaign to support the people in Ukraine.
